Mark Kowalski - 1975 Wrestling

 

Mark Kowalski graduated from Wayland High School in 1975 and was an outstanding football player and wrestler for the Warriors. Kowalski was an all-league two-way end in football and a league, sectional, state and two-time New England champion in wrestling, ending his career as a 170-pounder as a senior. He was named an All-American Honorable Mention in wrestling.

Kowalski earned his bachelor of science from the Coast Guard Academy, where he was an All New England champion in wrestling, and a masters in business administration from Corpus Christi State University. He served for 10 years
as an officer in the Coast Guard.

He has been an airline captain with Delta for the past 18 years and is based out of New York City. Mark and his wife Barbara have three children, John (18), Ann (16) and Leigh (14).

Mark is very grateful for all of the support he has received He would like to thank the Wayland High School, teachers and coaches, the Booster community, and his great schoolmates.

“They were all critical to my success,” he says. “High school sports is all about the coaching.
  That is where we kids in Wayland really lucked out.”
